Why Consider ‘Made to Order’ Furniture ?

A custom-made piece of furniture is like a tailor-made suit

Much like a tailor made suit, custom furniture is not only designed for the individual purchaser, but is also meticulously crafted, ensuring a high-quality product that will last longer than mass-produced, production line products.

There is plenty of merchandise available to buy off the shelf, but nothing fits better than something that is made to your exact specification and preferences, not only size, but also colour and finish.

Have something in your home that maximises the space that you have available – not too big, but also not too small.

Ideal for townhouses, apartments, and small houses

Too often furniture items are a compromise: they’re either too big for a given space, creating a cramped environment, or they don’t use an area to its full capacity.

In one instance, townhouse owners were delighted when an extra long and narrow dining table was crafted for a kitchen space deemed too restrictive for dinner parties.

We’ve been sought to design furniture for clients who live in apartments and townhouses but do not want to sacrifice valuable space with furniture that doesn’t fit their space.

Fashion is Fleeting; Exceptional Design is Timeless

Here is your opportunity to acquire something individual and personal, instead of following the pack by buying the latest fashionable mass-produced ‘designer’ piece.

Because our commissioned furniture pieces are made by hand, each one is unique. Much like a painter or a sculptor who create similar works, each one is, by definition, individual.

Our designs are low-volume, and, in some instances, true one-offs.

Made locally with local materials

Not only are you supporting the local economy, but you’re not contributing to unnecessary carbon emissions caused by freight of goods from overseas.

Where possible, we always source materials that are produced in Australia (or even Melbourne).

You’re also not paying for a product whose price is inflated by million-dollar international branding budgets, overseas freight and duties, and warehouse storage costs.

“He that can have patience can have what he will” – Benjamin Franklin

Waiting a few weeks won’t be such a hardship to have something especially designed and crafted for you.

You might have your made-to-order furniture piece sooner than purchasing from an online or retail seller, as there is often a wait of weeks or months for goods to become available or arrive from overseas.
